Pick a hunt you want to participate in and read the clues. Place your marker(s) on the map wherever you think the treasure is and pay for your entries. Once the hunt timer runs out, the closest marker to the prize location is the winner and they get the prize.
Remember you can place as many markers on the map as you like. The more you place, the higher your chances of winning.
Simply find an active hunt on the homepage that you would like to take part in. Once you have a read the clues and think you know where the prize is located, tap the "place marker" button on the right of the map and place the marker at your desired location on the map.
When you have placed at least one marker on the map, a payment button will appear below the map to allow you to enter the hunt. Only once you have paid and recieved your confirmation of entry to the hunt are your markers valid. This will turn any marker you have entered to the hunt green.
You can only change the locations of markers that have not been paid for. Any markers that are paid for and entered into the hunt cannot be altered.
If you have placed a marker onto the map after reading the clues, but change your mind on the prize location you can alter the location by using the move marker button.
Tap the move marker button and you will be able to drag any red makers on the map to a new location. You must tap "Save" to keep any changes.
As with moving markers, any marker that has not been entered into the hunt and paid for can be easily deleted using the "delete marker" Button. Simply tap this button then tap on any markers you want to remove from the map and select "save" to keep any changes.
You can enter any active hunt as often as you like.
You can easily see if you are participating in any active hunts from your user dashboard, and when logged in any previously placed markers will show up on the hunt map in green.
Once the timer runs out on any active hunt, the winner is automatically calculated as the closest marker to the actual prize location.
The winning marker will be announced via social channels and we will get in contact using your user account details so please ensure these are correct and up to date. You can easily update any details from your user dashboard.
If there are multiple entries the same distance from the winning location the prize will be evenly split between winning markers.
To ensure you make the most of your entries here are some sneaky tips to help you along the way with your hunting
Use all the clues! The hunt images may be helping you with the hunts as well as the hints on the hunt page.
Utilise the Zoom! Make sure your markers are placed as accurately as possible by zooming in as close as possible. If you place a marker one level further out it can make the difference between selecting the boot of a car and completely missing the car park!
Use markers strategically to help you win! If you think the prize location is in a certain area, placing a cluster of markers means that if you are correct the prize location can only as a worst case be the centre point of your markers.
